Gordon Shedden Wins BTCC With New Honda Civic Type-R
Gordon Shedden this weekend gave the new Honda Civic Type-R it’s first win at Brand’s Hatch in the British Touring Car Championship, beating Andy Priaulx over the line.
Shedden edged Priaulx to victory by just 0.40 seconds in a drag race over the finishing line, following the Honda having previously been delayed by the Infiniti of Derek Palmer Jr on the final lap.
Shedden commented on his win following the race saying, “It’s just incredible. It’s weekend number one and we were just trying to make the thing reliable.” Of course, this was the first win for the new Honda Civic Type-R and certainly goes a long way to showcasing the reliability of the vehicle.
