Honda Launches Special Editions Of Civic And CR-V

Honda has kicked off 2016 by unveiling two new limited edition versions of two of their most popular models.

The upgraded Civic Hatch and the CR-V SUV will be hitting showrooms in the next couple of weeks at prices of £14,995 and £29,995 respectively.

The new Civic is based on the 1.4-litre S manual model, is the cheaper of two new editions and has added 16-inch aero alloys and painted wheel arches, front panel and rear skirt for a sportier look.

It will be available in four colours: Sporty Blue, Polished Metal, Milano Red and Crystal Black.

For those with a bit more cash to burn, they can look to the black edition of the CR-V.

Honda offered a black (and white) version of the CR-V back in 2014, and now it has been revived with a new sportier look.

The visual upgrades include new running boards, a boot spoiler, 19-inch black alloys, and a gloss black grille and skid-plate detailing.

The interior will be fully kitted out with high-quality leather, including embossed ‘Black Edition’ logos and new ‘premium’ carpet mats.

The standard manual 2.0 i-VTEC model will start at £29,995 which will rise to £33,730 for the automatic 1.6 i-DTEC.

Phillip Crossman, Managing Director at Honda UK said of the new editions: “This time last year we had the oldest range on the market and were about to launch the latest Civic and CR-V. This limited edition Civic and the Black Edition CR-V are fantastic additions to the core product line up and will make a great start to 2016.”
