Genuine VW Krytox Roof Lubricant (G052172A1)
Krytox™ is a high performance, fully fluorinated oil that provides excellent lubrication over a wide temperature range and unmatched chemical resistance. It is used to avoid squeaking and creaking noises and is used wherever permanent and reliable avoidance of background noise is required.
Krytox™ makes all hardened rubber seals soft and supple again through gentle swelling. In addition, a significantly improved sealing of the sealing surface is achieved through hydrophobic treatment (water-displacing property), and water and moisture can no longer penetrate. The fluid is just as effective for the long-term avoidance and prevention of squeaking and creaking noises from rubber seals in vehicle interiors. The Krytox®-Fluid is silicone-free and therefore non-hardening. Rubber seals remain soft and supple.
This unique base oil is 100% non-flammable and will not support combustion even in 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen environments. The applied lubricant is non-migratory and ideal for automotive applications, vehicle sealing, sunroof and sunroof lubrication.
The VW Group recommended industry standard Krytox™ for squeak and rattle protection for motor vehicles is this G052172A1 including Audi, Skoda and Seat as well as Land Rover etc.
Important note before application
The surface must be clean and dry before applying this lubricating oil – free of wax, silicone etc. Denatured alcohol or glass cleaner can be used as a solvent before application to achieve this. – The application quantities must be minimal.
