EXTRA INFORMATION FOR 1999-2000 MODELS BELOW

We have had a couple of occasions in the past where customers have experienced some difficulty with fitting the bracket for the mats.

From our past experience and according to several forum threads on S2KI, the early S2000 models (1999-2000) did not have the OEM screw holes for fitting the mat brackets in place, we believe only one screw hole per side was present. There is no square holes for the blue plastic screw retainers. A quick search on forums shows that people have had this issue in the past.

The OEM screw holes for the mats are usually located under the main carpet. A small section of the carpet would have to be cut to access these. From 2001 onwards the OEM screw holes for the brackets should be present.

However, due to the mat set being 4 pieces and the back half fitting over the chassis cross member it holds the complete mat in place with no problems at all. Therefore the supplied brackets are not really required.
